When to remember love?
7 years of age..
You were a transferee,
I was the admired girl in school.
9 years of age..
You gave me an ice cream,
I preferred candy chocolates.
10 years of age..
You tried to hold my hand,
I refused and called you, “Pervert!”
11 years of age..
You gave me flowers on Valentines Day,
I threw it away in front of you.
12 years of age..
You evaded yourself to me,
I sneaked a glance at you and felt sad.
13 years of age..
You became the man every girl desired,
I secretly fell in love with you.
14 years of age..
You got your first & last dance in prom,
I ignored everyone’s invites and wished to dance with you.
15 years of age..
You graduated with honors,
I hoped that I could give you my congratulatory gift.
16 years of age..
You signed up to college,
I was shocked when I saw you at school.
18 years of age..
You were invited in my 18th birthday,
I’ve waited but you didn’t come.
20 years of age..
You just passed me by,
Good bye, word that really made me cry.

You asked your first girlfriend to marry you,
I got an arranged marriage.
28 years of age..
Your wife passed away but got your first baby,
My husband cheated and we got annulled.

You went to our High School Reunion with your son,
I went there with our friends.
35 years of age..
You saw me at the coffee shop and asked “Can I join you?”
And I said, “Yes”, for the very first time.
36 years of age..
You told me how you felt before til now,
I cried because I feel the same way.
40 years of age..
You finally married your first love,
I’ve found my last true love.
And…
Many years have passed.
I can still remember the time
how we ended up being together.
It was a no became yes.
Every tear to so much laughter.
Thought that it will be never but in the end,
our love came TO FOREVER.
